Happy Birthday Taurus and Gemini natives!! The big news this month is that Mercury travels through Gemini, the sign of the twins, from May 2 to July 10, 2008. Creativity and expression of your true self reigns!! You’ll feel an irrepressible urge to express your feelings, observations, and opinions through speaking, teaching others, and learning from them. You’ll be in the mood to be more sociable and seek new opportunities for diversion, and you’ll feel a greater need than usual for mental stimulation. Mercury turns retrograde from May 26 to June 19 in the sign that it rules (Gemini). (Remember, the planet doesn’t actually GO backward, it just slows its’ motion and Earth moves faster than Mercury so it looks like it’s moving in reverse!!). You’ll probably experience the typical events that occur with the planet of communication traveling in reverse motion. These include misunderstandings among you and others; checks and packages being delivered late or to the wrong address; appointments being missed because of misinformation or car trouble; and, computer foul-ups or breakdowns. On the plus side, if you attempt to do anything at which you’ve failed previously, you now have a greater chance of success, as the second or third time is the charm. You could find yourself bumping into someone you haven’t seen in a while, or finding things you thought were lost. While we are talking about retrograde planets, Saturn is moving retrograde in Virgo and Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn. Saturn starts moving direct on May 3rd while Pluto continues it’s retrograde motion all month. Jupiter begins to go retrograde on the 9th of May and Neptune goes retrograde on the 26th. Whew! Sounds like a busy month, doesn’t it!!??!! Well, many events in your life will evolve very slowly. Use this time to review work you have done, rethink your position on certain beliefs, refine your attitude about certain issues, and think about the image you project to the world and fine-tune your approach in dealings with others. :-) This is the time to RE-DO YOU!! A helpful aspect linking Jupiter and Uranus improves your life as you see opportunities to use your talents by the 21st. You will feel drawn to people or ideas that challenge you to improve. Fortunately, you will be able to easily understand them. If you become impatient with the restrictions under which you live, look for openings you can use to your advantage. The New Moon occurs on the 5th at 7:19am at 15° 22’ Taurus and indicates real estate issues are on your mind or you may want to open a savings account. The Full Moon occurs on the 19th at 9:12pm at 29° 27’ Scorpio. You find that your needs clash with the needs of others as you discover you are stronger than you realize. The big news this month happens on April 2nd with Pluto, the planet of extremes, turning retrograde at 1° Capricorn. Pluto stays retrograde until September 9, 2008. Pluto signifies our perspective on the world our conscious and subconscious. Since so many of Pluto’s qualities are centered on the deeper mysteries of life, the house position of Pluto in your own personal chart, and aspects to it, can show you how to attain a deeper understanding of the importance of your spiritual life. On another level, you can experience a ‘death’ of your old self when you realize the deeper significance of your life. This is the time to get rid of anything that is preventing you from becoming your best self. In the process will find yourself cleaning out closets, getting rid of old shoes, old clothes, pictures and things that were once an important part of you . You may even be ‘cleaning out’ your friendship closet. You may realize that certain people who were once a very important part of your life have suddenly disappeared, or that you have nothing in common with them. This process is very necessary as you create an emptiness and a void. Keep in mind as you are throwing out all that old ‘stuff’ that the Universe does NOT like a void, so you will quickly fill it with something new. Thus, the New You begins to come into being!! This is a very exciting time for all of us!! More exciting news comes to us with the discovery and acknowledgement of a new planet - ERIS! Even though termed a "dwarf planet" along with Pluto, Eris was discovered in 2005 from plates going back to 2003, and originally nicknamed Xena. Eris is the only planet-type object that was temporarily named for a television drama heroine. This planet, well beyond Pluto, has a period of 556 years and was discovered as it traveled through the constellation of Aries. Eris’ discovery increases the size of the solar system to double the original diameter. It is too early to make a definitive statement regarding all the meanings of this new planet but some preliminary qualities attributed to Eris are those that represent her mythological character. She is one who struggles against injustice and oppression. She has her war-like and even blood-thirsty side, with the higher manifestation of defending the weak and standing up for oneself. Her placement and aspects to other planets correlate to the underdog warrior, speaking truth to power, and with also a willingness to resort to whatever means necessary to achieve her goals. It will be interesting to see how this new planet will show herself to us earthlings. Only time and research will tell. :-) This month’s Full Moon takes place on the 20th at 6:25am EST and occurs at 0 °43’ Scorpio. The New moon occurs on the 5th at 16 °44’ Aries at 11:56pm. The New Moon starts a whole new cycle for you and will affect the area of your life where this New Moon energy lands in your personal Astrological Chart. Happy Birthday PISCES and ARIES Natives!! They say March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. How can that be true? After all, surprising Uranus electrifies lucky Jupiter through the month. Expect a series of growingly good opportunities throughout the month. March forth!! After Mars enters Cancer on the 4th of March, it will remain there until the 9th of May. During this time you will have the tenacity, intuition, and sense of timing to successfully make the most cherished dreams into exciting realities. You’ll be inclined to examine your roots and traditions, a process which will help you discover more about your life direction. Please listen to your intuition as Mars in Cancer gives you the tools you will need to protect yourself from situations that you find uncomfortable. Energy and decisiveness are enhanced, but at the same time you may be hindered by moodiness, vulnerability and fears. The best way to avoid problems is to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of people around you. You may have trouble sleeping at mid-month as you become disillusioned by someone else’s actions. This is a time to be good to your body. Treat yourself to a relaxing massage or herbal bath. Eventually you will have the urge to get things done and move forward. By the end of the month you will have the clarity you need to make decisions and take action. Enjoy!! :-) Be on the lookout for opportunities to improve yourself all month. Jupiter and Uranus are in a nice aspect to each other, indicating an opportunity to effect positive changes, but only if you make an effort. Friends are your biggest boosters. So don’t sit at home and wait for the phone to ring. Go through your personal date book and start to connect and reconnect. Get involved in group efforts. Not only will you rise to the top, you will go further in your personal goals than you ever imagined. If you make an effort, you may get something you’ve been wanting. Mercury, Venus and Neptune begin the month in Aquarius. Venus arrives in Pisces on the 12th and Mercury joins Venus in Pisces on the 14th. Our thoughts and choices will be influenced by imagination, sympathy and intuitions. You may be able to strengthen family ties and influence people by being a caring listener. A sudden insight helps you understand a complicated person or situation!! The New Moon occurs on the 7th at 12:15pm at 17°31 Pisces. A New Moon occurs when the Moon and the Sun are in the same sign at the same degree. It is a time of concentrated energies and new beginnings. The Full Moon occurs on the 21st at 1:40pm at 1°31 Libra. Whatever issues are on your mind, this Full Moon will give you the opportunity to air your thoughts and resolve matters in a reasonable way. Happy Birthday AQUARIUS and PISCES Natives!! There are several special events taking place in our sky this month. First, this is a Leap Year so February has 29 days!! Venus, Jupiter and Pluto are in Capricorn so you can polish your image as you prepare the way to be more innovative than you have been in the past. Mercury adds its’ communicative energies to your preparatory endeavors as it continues its’ retrograde movement until the 18th when it turns direct in Aquarius. Thus, use the first three weeks of the month to research and review anything new and innovative. You may find you want to spend more time alone or find your mind wandering as you review all aspects of your life: your friendships, your family, your career, your communication style, your goals. This is a process that makes you more aware of how you present yourself to others. This is a time of renewal, hard work and activity. Keep in mind that you will NOT be bored this month as your own mind will busy enough to keep you entertained and far from bored !! :-) This month’s New Moon occurs on the 6th at 10:44pm and is a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius at 17º44’. The Solar Eclipse pinpoints an area of your life that needs attention. It may foretell a special event (I got married close to an Eclipse in September 2005!), a beginning or an ending. The Full Moon is on the 20th and is a Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo at 1º53’. This Lunar Eclipse is very powerful as it brings forth emotional issues that have yet to be resolved. It will expose weaknesses, vulnerability, and illness. Confusion, chaos, and uncertainty will be prevalent as we all are forced to take stock of our current situation and eliminate what is not good for us. The uncovering of what was hidden from view, previously avoided, or overworked may lead to an enlightening reality check. What is lost must be forgotten. The void that we create will make way for the new!! Like all eclipses, these eclipses act as accelerators. Expect all experiences you have this month to be highly charged and be prepared for everything you do to be in fast-forward motion. Keep in mind though that ventures begun now may not yield returns to be as fast as you want, but opportunities and final results will come for people who use this time to prepare and are resourceful. The best way for you to succeed is to be patient and let things develop slowly, because what lives on will be made better - much better as your awareness is heightened and you make the most of every opening you can find!! :-) Happy Birthday CAPRICORN and AQUARIUS Natives!! Welcome to a whole new era!! On January 25, 2008, Pluto, the planet of power and transformation, moves into Capricorn for a sixteen-year visit. As Pluto travels through its eccentric orbit, major changes can be expected to take place in society and the individual, for better or worse. Pluto energy is one that cuts ties with the past and urges us to move on to new endeavors. We begin to eliminate things and people that are no longer useful or slowing our growth. A Pluto transit often destroys a relationship, belief or some set of circumstances in order to allow something better to take its place. Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good luck, is also in Capricorn, ready to support any effort you make to improve your life!! :-) Mars is still going retrograde until January 30th as it moves through the constellations of Cancer and then back into Gemini. Mars moving retrograde gives us the opportunity to reconsider what we want in our lives. It is best to turn inward to see where you really want to invest your energy. This period is useful for planning so wait before you start a new job, buy a new car or get married. When Mars turns direct on January 30th you will then better prepared to move forward with a clearer head and answers to some of your most pressing concerns. Mercury begins to go retrograde on January 28th as it travels through Aquarius. You begin this three week period expressing your feelings to a friend or a partner and receiving positive support and feedback. You cook up lively ways to enjoy companionship by inviting those who are close to you to spend some cold winter nights by the fire, make some warm comfort food, have a pajama party and talk, talk, talk!!! The New Moon occurs on the 8th at 6:37am at 17°33 Capricorn. Each New Moon day is a Power Day when atmospheric energies will magically boost your plans to bring your wishes to fulfillment - usually by the Full Moon. Plant the seeds now for future professional growth. Ambitions, goals, and public agendas benefit from organization and focus. The Full Moon is on the 22nd at 8:36am at 1°54 Leo. This Full Moon is a blend of Leo (moon)/ Aquarius(sun) energy and gives us the need to understand our social roles better. There is an emphasis on improving communications and a search for natural harmony amongst friends and family. Any stress is due to complex conditions beyond your understanding so just relax and keep physical activities simple. |
